3. Perth
I lived in Perth for five months back in 2015 and loved the city’s pretty riverside views, impressive white beaches and nearby natural attractions such as Rottnest Island. It also has more sunny days per year on average than any other Australian state capital! Check out my posts below to plan your visit, or click the button to visit my Perth page.

4. Brisbane
I spent a year living in Australia’s river city when I was an exchange student. Blessed with a mild climate, Brisbane has a choice of attractions such as beautiful botanic gardens, cliff climbing at Kangaroo Point, restaurants at pretty South Bank and nightclubs in Fortitude Valley. Discover things to do in my blog posts below.

5. Adelaide
The South Australian city of Adelaide is pretty underrated, in my opinion. With beaches like Glenelg and Henley, a large CBD and a pretty riverside area in Elder Park, there’s plenty of fun to be had in this city. You can also head out into the Adelaide Hills for a day of hiking or exploring. Check out my posts below to learn more.

6. Canberra
If art and culture is your thing, consider a trip to Canberra to explore the many museums and galleries. While it’s smaller and less busy than your typical capital city, Canberra is still worth a visit, if only to check out Parliament House and the long, symmetrical Anzac Parade.

7. Hobart
With a backdrop of majestic Mount Wellington and a pretty harbourside area, Hobart is one of the more picturesque Australian cities. As well as enjoying beaches and the CBD, you can explore historic Battery Point, browse Salamanca Markets and visit the famous MONA art gallery.
